During the Golden Age of Technology, humanity created artificially intelligent Iron Men as servants and warriors. Eventually they turned on their creators in the Great Old Wars, bringing a horrible end to the Golden Age. Like the Necrons, they are skeletal in appearance, but unlike them they tend to have glowing blue eyes.
