This half-skull, half-cog symbol is the sign of Tech-Priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to whom it is awarded upon completion of their training on Mars. Bearers are accorded great respect, and are the only ones allowed free passage through the Ring of Iron into the great Mars hive workshops and foundries.
