This weapon is the symbol of authority of the High Marshal of the Black Templars, and is said to contain fragments of the blade Rogal Dorn carried aboard Horus' battle barge, breaking across his kneee after failing to protect the Emperor. High Marshal Sigismund directed that it be carried by all High Marshals to remind them of their duty of atonement.
